Mixed Peer Support Group [WINDSOR]

Being a Carer can be rewarding, but it can also be isolating. No matter who you care for, having the opportunity to connect with others who understand can make all the difference.

Our Mixed Carer Peer Support Group is an 8-week program for unpaid Carers supporting family members or friends with disability, chronic illness, mental ill health, dementia, age-related frailty, or other support needs. It's a welcoming space where you can step away from your caring responsibilities for a while, share experiences, and build meaningful connections with people who understand the caring journey.

Each week we'll explore topics that support your health and wellbeing, strengthen resilience, and provide practical ideas to help you navigate your caring role. Whether you'd like to join the conversation or simply listen, you'll find a friendly and supportive community ready to welcome you.

This group is open to anyone providing unpaid care to a family member, friend or neighbour living with disability, mental ill health, chronic illness, dementia, age-related frailty, or other support needs.

This is an 8-week peer support program. We encourage participants to attend each session where possible to get the most from the experience and build lasting connections with the group.

These sessions are especially for people who provide unpaid care to family members or friends, as recognised under the National Carer Recognition Act. This means the sessions are not suitable for paid careworkers, support workers or service providers, unless you also provide care for someone personally outside of your professional role.
