Mix & Mingle Open House with Highlands Park Senior & Community Center

BEN LOMOND, CA – The San Lorenzo Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Highlands Park Senior & Community Center and the Ben Lomond Village Alliance, invites the community to an evening open house to discover all the Center has to offer, network, explore ways to collaborate, and options to support vital programs serving the valley's 50+ population.

The event will take place at the Highlands Park Senior & Community Center, located at 8500 Highway 9 on Thursday, February 12 in Ben Lomond. Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments and hors d'oeuvres, tour the facility, browse and bid on auction items, learn about membership benefits, and connect with local business and nonprofit leaders, as well as diverse community members.

"This event represents the spirit of collaboration that makes our valley special," said Bryan Chambers, Executive Director of the Chamber. "We're bringing together business leaders, community organizations, and residents to support programs that directly impact the quality of life for older adults in the San Lorenzo Valley."

The Highlands Park Senior & Community Center has served as a vital resource hub for San Lorenzo Valley residents for more than 40 years. The 6,000-square-foot facility, nestled along the San Lorenzo River, boasts recent technology and decor updates, including generator and starlink for secure power and wifi. The center offers affordable space rental including an auditorium, multi-purpose rooms, and a commercial kitchen.  The center provides recreational, educational, and social services on a weekly basis in a beautiful park atmosphere for community members age 50 and over. 

The Center is expanding into a modern multi-generational community resource hub where diverse businesses, organizations, families, and adults under and over 50 are invited  to use, enjoy, enhance, and support the facility. “The members are excited to meet and get to know the next generations that will make the center an enriching part of our greater SLV community experience.  We hope you will join us, bring a friend, and discover how you can be a part of sustaining this important community asset and grow programs that keep us healthy, engaged, and involved as we age!”, Coco Walters, President of the Center’s board.
