The Missouri Valley African Violet Council Fall Convention, Show & Sale
Come Join the Missouri Valley African Violet Council for "Violets, A Wonderful World of Color."
Get ready for fun in-person event and prepare to be captivated with vibrant African violets and other gesneriads in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes! The Show and Sale opens to the public at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 10th and is free and open to the public. Come early for the best selection of African violets and gesneriads for sale.
The Show and Sale is located at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1301 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa, with free parking available.
Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., hear well-known gesneriad expert and hybridizer Dale Martens for her presentation on "Growing Gesneriad Show Plants." Dale is an authority on gesneriads and how to grow them. She has presented innumerable times on a variety of gesneriad topics including on many of the webinars available from The Gesneriad Society. You won't want to miss her presentation which is also free and open to the public.
The Missouri Valley African Violet Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and regional affiliate of the African Violet Society of America. Council members come from Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Nebraska. Its Fall Convention, Show and Sale moves to various locations within the region.
