Mississippi Hot Club showcases the distinct style of music pioneered by maestro guitarist Django Reinhardt during the 1930s–40s in Paris, France. This all-string jazz ensemble features la pompe rhythm guitar, upright bass, and the lively improvisation of solo guitar and violin.

Staying true to the hot club sound, MHC layers in modern twists — romantic ballads, American jazz standards, European folk, and the occasional science fiction theme. Their album Swing Cities tips its hat to the Twin Cities swing dance scene and to communities worldwide keeping gypsy jazz alive and vibrant.
