Mississippi Freedom Festival

Today, Mississippi has the least resourced public defense system in the country. Yet, tomorrow, we can lead the country. There is a growing movement, led by Mississippians of all stripes, to make our state a national leader in public defense. We hope you’ll join us on the evening of Thursday, April 10th, to celebrate this kickoff.

The MS Freedom Festival will welcome all members of the public, where you'll have the chance to learn more about the issue, meet other stakeholders and people leading the effort, and have fun doing it. Dinner will be provided by local food trucks and the evening will feature live music by legendary blues performer Jesse Robinson and beloved local DJ, DJ George Chuck.
