Mission Bay to Kohimarama
About this Event
An easy morning out along the water, good for anyone bringing a first camera or a first-timer to the group.
We're meeting at Mission Bay and walking the promenade through to Kohimarama in good, straightforward daylight — flat paths, easy pace, no early starts or late finishes needed. It's one of the more relaxed outings on the calendar, built for people who want to practice without chasing a narrow window of light.
Along the way there's the beach, the pōhutukawa trees lining the promenade, and a steady flow of walkers, swimmers, and paddleboarders to work with. Good morning light, plenty of time, and nowhere in particular you need to be.
No theme, no pressure. You'll be walking alongside a friendly, easygoing group of photographers, all looking at the harbour and seeing something slightly different in it.
