About this Event
Dear Ones,

Rabbi Dan Goldblatt, a Rabbi of the Renewal tradition, along with accompanying singer Zoë Francesca Goldblatt and musician Nathaniel Markman, will lead a moving, musical Shabbat service on Saturday, March 29th at 10:00am. We’ll have a light kiddush lunch after the service at 12:15pm
What is a Shabbat Morning Service? Shabbat Morning is in many ways the heart of Shabbat rituals. The ceremony includes prayers, singing, reading from Torah, and sharing of wisdom.
What is Jewish Renewal? “Jewish Renewal” is a transdenominational approach to revitalizing Judaism combining socially progressive values of egalitarianism, the joy of Hasidism, and the accumulated wisdom of centuries of tradition. Services combine joyful musical prayer and contemplative practices, creating an accessible, yet deep, spiritual experience.
What is Mishkan Marin? Mishkan is an emerging Jewish Renewal community in Marin. Mishkan is Hebrew for “dwelling place” and it signifies the dwelling place of God’s presence. The name draws from the portable sanctuary that the Jews transported through the desert after the liberation from slavery. Our current plan is to create spirited and moving services every 2 -3 months through fall 2025 to see if there is interest in and support for an ongoing Renewal community in Marin.
Help us build the Mishkan! We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup and cleanup, more musicians and additional sources of funding. Please contact us if you can help in any way.
