Over the past 17 years, Wreaths Across America (WAA) has experienced remarkable growth, with over 4,909 participating locations nationwide, more than 7,408 sponsorship groups, and the placement of over 3.1 million wreaths in 2024. This endeavor is rooted in the organization's mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve (and their families), and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Locally, we have successfully united Veteran organizations, businesses, and community members to support this mission. The Wreaths Across America Day Ceremony and wreath-laying event have become a cherished tradition for families and neighbors throughout Michiana. We are grateful for the continued support of numerous organizations and businesses, including Mission BBQ, Ryan Balmer Memorial Fund, Terracon Consulting, Center for Hospice Care, St Joe Valley Blue Star Mothers, Mishawaka Jersey Mike's, Team RWB Southbend, LaSalle Council, Boy Scouts of America, Ronald Groning, Community Foundation of Elkhart, American Legion 357 Rider, Get Wet For A Vet, CVMA-14, Stop 22 Michiana, Winnebago Industries, and Hahn Funeral Home.
This year's event details are as follows: On Saturday, December 13th, 2024, Team RWB Southbend will host and coordinate the Mishawaka Fairview Cemetery Wreaths Across America Day for the seventh consecutive year. From now til than, we will be raising sponsorships for the wreaths. Wreaths can be sponsored under the following qualifying groups.

The Wreaths Ceremony will commence at 12pm sharp. To ensure a smooth and safe experience, we kindly request that attendees arrive between 11:30am and 11:45am. This will allow for secure parking and prevent traffic congestion at the start of the ceremony. Please note that traffic flow will be restricted after 11:30am to ensure the safety of our American Scouts and Veterans. To volunteer, please visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/IN0089. Additional volunteer opportunities are available, including assistance with wreath distribution throughout the cemetery at 9am on the day of the ceremony. The ceremony will take place in the North East section of the cemetery, near Main St. Parking is limited within the cemetery, so attendees are encouraged to park along the fence or use the school parking lot just North of the cemetery.
