MISE Film Festival

The MISE (Moving Image and Sound Exhibition) festival is a Nottingham-based film festival that celebrates innovative approaches to moving image and sound, exploring the intersection of experimental and narrative filmmaking within drama, comedy and more.

The festival is curated by MA Filmmaking students from the School of Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University. A course at the forefront of the film industry, celebrating critical thinking, experimentation, and technological innovation.

This year, we are celebrating filmmaking techniques with 6 categories of short films showcasing the art of filmmaking through the crafts of Documentary, Montage, Soundscape, Mise En Scene and One Shot.

On May 9th, we will be programming. showcase for each, featuring filmmakers from across the globe. Entry is completely free, stay for one category or the whole day. It's a great way to see the wide range of talent, not just locally but from around the world.

We will also be crowning our top pick in each category.
