MIRROR returns with its 7th edition, bringing together stories, voices and visions from across BRAC University. MIRROR VII is a platform where young filmmakers reflect their creativity through short films that explore ideas, emotions, realities and imagination, projected on the big screen.
This year, MIRROR VII is more than just a film festival.
It is a celebration of heritage, creativity and storytelling.
𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆: তাতশিল্প — Threads of Heritage
Bangla culture is woven with stories, traditions, and crafts that are slowly fading with time. To honor and represent this rich heritage, the graphical and decoration theme of MIRROR VII is “Tat Shilpo.”
Inspired by traditional weaving, handloom textures, threads, patterns and craftsmanship, this year’s theme reflects:
The beauty of Bangladeshi tradition
Stories passed down through generations
The connection between art, labor, and identity
Just as threads come together to create a fabric, MIRROR VII brings together diverse voices and stories to create a shared cinematic experience.
𝑲𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒌𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒏
An integral part of MIRROR VII, Kothopokothon is a specially curated interactive session for young film enthusiasts. This segment creates a space to learn about the film industry, filmmaking journeys and behind-the-scenes experiences from established filmmakers and industry professionals. Through discussions and conversations, participants will gain insights, inspiration and a deeper understanding of cinema beyond the screen.
