MIO KASAI
“What can colors do to your life”
Following its presentation at LFITOKYO (French International School of Tokyo), Nightout Gallery is pleased to present a special pop-up exhibition of Japanese artist Mio Kasai at JOINT HARAJUKU from July 3rd to July 5th.
Mio Kasai’s exhibition “What can colors do to your life” invites viewers into a poetic and introspective universe where color becomes a gateway to emotion, perception, and self-reflection.
At the center of the exhibition is the artist’s ongoing “Life Line” series — minimalist works projecting life and existence onto a simple line with a beginning and an end. Rather than depicting the human body itself, Kasai explores the invisible inner self: emotions, thoughts, memories, and transformations that continuously evolve through human experience.
Through subtle compositions and layered colors, the artist encourages viewers to reconsider the way they perceive themselves and the world around them. Her work reflects on the complexity of contemporary life and questions what truly matters in an era often dominated by material concerns and social conflict.
Originally presented within the unique educational environment of LFITOKYO, the exhibition created a dialogue between contemporary art and younger generations. This new presentation at JOINT HARAJUKU offers a wider audience the opportunity to experience Mio Kasai’s sensitive and immersive artistic universe.
“What can colors do to your life” is not simply an exhibition, but an invitation to pause, feel, and reconnect with the essential.
DATES:
Friday 3rd : 6pm to 11pm
Saturday 4th : 1pm to 11pm (Opening party from 6pm to 11pm)
Sunday 5th : 1pm to 7pm (Joint will be open until 11pm)
