Minutemen Basketball Fall Skills Academy
About this Event
The Minutemen Basketball Fall Skills Academy is for student-athletes of all skills levels, in grades TK-8. Boys and girls are welcome to participate. Both sessions will run for five weeks, with one training session per week. For our novice players this academy provides a great introduction to the game of basketball. More advanced players will benefit from foundational skill work tailored around our program benchmarks, while being challenged to continue to grow and develop their game. Individualized and small group instruction will be provided by our experienced staff.
NOTE: This is a BASKETBALL SKILLS ACADEMY! No competitive play will be involved. This academy is strictly for skill development. If you are interested in competitive play, please check out our Fall AAU registration page provided HERE.
Student-athletes participating in the skills academy are expected to bring comfortable athletic attire, basketball shoes and a positive attitude. They are all encouraged to bring their own basketball, though it is not required. Grades TK-2 should have a 27.5" basketball, grades 3-5 a 28.5" basketball, while grades 6-8 should have a 29.5" basketball (28.5" for girls). If you have questions regarding equipment please do not hesitate to ask!
