Minor Blues is a youth ensemble founded and directed by Jimi Goare. This ensemble is designed to offer a unique opportunity to rising performers interested in experiencing the music industry under the guidance of a seasoned professional. In conjunction with our education department, Lesson 1 Private Music Studio, students are invited to participate with the intention of experiencing the discipline, commitment, ensemble dynamics, and other such rigorous demands required to be a professional.

Throughout the 15+ years of its existence, the Minor Blues Youth Band has fostered a number of members who have used their experience in the band to move into higher education and many professional working settings in areas such as performance, studio recording, promotion, academia, media arts, sound design, and more. Often our alumni move directly into our own working acts.
