Emeritus Professor Nick Miles (1983), George Ryan (1978), Mick McQuillian (1982), Mark Evenden (1983) and Steve Cooper (1985) are organising a reunion for all members of the university's Mining Society this summer.
This special reunion weekend for the University of Nottingham Mining Society will be their first formal get-together in many a year, and you are cordially invited.
They intend to make a weekend of it, with social events from Friday through to Sunday so expect sporting activities, golf, tours of the university, a black die dinner, and perhaps even a guest speaker or two – suggestions are very welcome.
They are aiming to gather graduates from the seventies onwards, but everyone is welcome, so if you’re in touch with anyone who might be interested, please feel free to send the invite onwards – the more, the merrier.
They are also looking for a volunteer from each academic year to help co-ordinate communication to ensure we get as many there as possible so if you are interested, please contact the organisers directly through the RSVP email address below.
Accommodation is available in Florence Boot Hall for those wanting a trip down memory lane and a special rate has been secured at £78 per night for a room with an ensuite bathroom and £72 per night for those of you brave enough to share a bathroom.
You can book this through the 'Tickets' link above. Tickets for a black tie dinner will cost £50 pp.
Please RSVP to [email protected] to confirm your attendance, you will then be sent the payment details once numbers are confirmed.
