You are invited to this mini Wellness retreat designed to help you rest, recharge and reconnect to your essential nature. Relax and unwind in a quiet and refreshing location of Glastonbury's Abbey House.This is an opportunity for nourishing self-care. Time to breathe deeper, relax and rejuvenate in mind body and spirit. Explore gentle movements to soothe the nervous system and find the space to develop core strength with grace and ease. Delight in stillness ,be nourished by Yoga Nidra, with simple breathing and heart meditation practices that will bring us home to the Mystic Garden.
Weather permitting there may be a walking and meditation practices in the beautiful gardens. Tea and coffee provided.
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a yoga mat, cushion and blanket. Some Yoga mats available upon request, on first come first serve basis.
These Wellness retreats run from 10am to 1pm and are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The sessions are themed with the seasons:
January 24th: Winter yoga for Rest and Rejuvenation. A Gentle reflective practice to nurture your inner light, balanced by warming and energising poses. Finishing with a deeply nourishing yoga nidra.
February 28th: Winter Yoga for Rejuvenation and renewal. Preparing for Spring, building strength, creating foundations for flexibility, strength and a calm mind combined with relaxation and yoga nidra.
March 28th: Spring yoga, to energise your body and mind. Create the foundation for stability and resilience in the Spring season. Combined with the deep relaxation of yoga nidra.
May 9th: Yoga to Spring into Summer, a gentle flowing practice exploring this time of abundant growth. Movement balanced with rest and nourishing yoga nidra for the blossom season.
June 13th: Summer yoga is a heart centred practice of breath, simple movement and meditation. Connect with inner strength at mid-summer. Completes with a mid-summer yoga nidra.
Thalia Brown is an experienced Gentle Yoga Teacher, has practised yoga from the age of 5, and is a teacher member of the British Wheel of Yoga. The practice of Yoga is the golden thread that guides through life, leading us to the still calm centre around which the joys and sorrows, the easy and difficult times flow… a way to come home to Nature. She is an artist , who enjoys forest bathing, yoga walks and meditations in nature, She is also a Labyrinth walk facilitator and is the Guardian of the Glastonbury Tercentennial Labyrinth.
