Mini Prints: A Block Printing Workshop
Join us for an evening of block printing at Schilling Cider House in SE Portland as we transform ordinary erasers into hand-carved stamps. You’ll sketch a simple design, transfer it to your eraser, learn how to carve away the negative space, and bring your stamp to life with colorful ink. Experiment with repetition, pattern, layering, and placement to create a collection of one-of-a-kind prints in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment.
Whether you come with a friend or on your own, you’ll be welcomed into a creative community where everyone belongs. You’ll leave with your own reusable hand-carved stamp, a collection of original prints, and maybe even a few new friends too :)
How we’ll spend our time
- A warm, low-key welcome to help you settle in
- A fun activity and thought exercise to help you connect and reflect
- A brief introduction to designing, carving, and printing your stamp
- Plenty of time to experiment with shapes, colors, patterns, and repetition
- A relaxed wrap-up to admire everyone’s tiny creations

- Paper, bookmarks, cards, and all other printing materials
- Guided instruction throughout the workshop
- Your reusable stamps and finished prints to take home — and maybe even a few traded prints from others!
- A welcoming space to experiment and create
Gluten-free food and drinks will be available for purchase from Schilling Cider House throughout the event, and we’d love for you to support our hosts by grabbing something while you’re there if you are able!
