Mini Paint At Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve!
About this Event
Calling all artists, craftspeople, adventurers, and dungeon masters! Get your paintbrushes ready and join us at Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve to paint some mini-figures for ttrpgs and bring your characters to life while surrounded by open grassland and wildlife!
Just 25 minutes to the east of Downtown San Jose, up Sierra Road and above Alum Rock Park, this preserve offers sweeping views of the Bay Area and the chance to see some amazing birds like the majestic Golden Eagle and American Kestrel!
A limited amount of paint and mini-figures will be provided (while supplies last!), but if you have your own please bring them! Staff will be present to show you the ropes if you have never painted one before and will be going through the steps right alongside you! We will be under a shaded canopy at the Aquila Loop trailhead, but there are more benches and tables within short walking distance from the parking lot, so you can paint wherever inspiration strikes you after checking in with us.
Notes:
- Tickets are for ONE parking space and as many people as you can safely and legally fit in your vehicle. Parking will be at the corral, which is just before the main entrance to the preserve.
- Inclement weather may cancel the program.
- Materials available while supplies last!
