Minerals are the fundamental building blocks of our planet! Learn all about minerals and how to identify them with geologist, Kim Fendrich.

Discover some of the ways we use minerals in our daily lives and hone your observational skills in this interactive program as you perform tests on a variety of minerals to figure out what they are. Stay tuned for part 2 (rock identification) in Februrary!

The program will take place OFF-SITE at the Pocantico Hills Fire Department at 531 Bedford Rd, Tarrytown, NY.

If the lot is full, you may park along Highland Avenue behind the firehouse, or in the Union Church parking lot across the street.
