Get ready for a night of music-inspired school spirit! The Grand Rapids Public Schools community will come together for another year of Mindshare, and this year, we celebrate creativity, expression, and community.Join us and Mindshare 2026 co-chairs Misti Smith Stanton of Mercantile Bank and Vanessa Allen, a retiree of GRPS, for a musically influenced evening. We will be celebrating creativity, expression, and community in honor of Debra Perry, a well-known educator with more than 31 years of service for Grand Rapids Public Schools.
As a dedicated teacher, artist, and mentor, especially at Coit Creative Arts Academy, Debra has shaped generations of students through music, innovation, and excellence in arts education.
More than a gala, Mindshare is a movement. This year’s Mindshare: The Sounds of Possibility proceeds will support music, arts, athletics, and experiential learning opportunities for nearly 14,000 GRPS students.
