This one-day course covers the main essence and exercises of one of the most popular and evidence-based mindfulness courses, MBSR (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction).
The MBSR Program was created by Prof. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts, and the teacher of the February course, Leena Pennanen, is Jon Kabat-Zinn's student and the first officially certified MBSR teacher in Finland. Our teacher Leena has very close contact with Brown University and it ensures the high quality of the course and the teaching according to the original principles of MBSR.
The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in the original teaching of MBSR, and who wants to make changes in their lives and learn how to use mindfulness techniques to help others.
The course covers the main exercises and practices of the original MBSR 8-week program. The course is very practical and provides a series of practical methods for everyday use.
Participants will receive a certificate confirming that they have completed the basic knowledge of MBSR. This certificate allows those interested to participate in further education.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The person who completed the training knows the main methods of MBSR, has experienced the exercises and knows how to use them in their daily life.
TIME: 2 November 2024 at 9.15 - 16.15
LOCATION: Weizenbergi 20/1, Tallinn
WORKING LANGUAGE: English, translation into Estonian if necessary.
UPON COMPLETION: certificate from the Center for Mindfulness (CFM)
TRAINER: LEENA PENNANEN
The creator and manager of the Center for Mindfulness Finland. Leena has been the first certified MBSR teacher in Finland, she has been and continues to be a keen developer and trainer of mindfulness on the international level as well. Leena also has over 15 years of experience in training MBSR teachers, which makes her a valued and sought-after practitioner in several countries.
The Center for Mindfulness in Finland, founded by Leena, is a member of the Global Mindfulness Collaborative, which guarantees the right to continue teaching MBSR according to the curriculum of Brown University.
Leena also works with Chris Ruane, UK Member of Parliament, and Jamie Bristow, Director of the Mindfulness Initiative, to bring mindfulness into parliaments and other societal spheres.
PARTICIPATION FEE:
The price of the course is 200+km.
A 20% income tax refund applies to private individuals (Estonian citizens).
The price includes training, tools necessary for training and tea breaks.
