About this Event

About This Course

Life rarely slows down to give us a perfect, quiet moment to practice being present. Between the fast pace of daily life and the collective noise of our current world, finding a sense of steady ground can feel like a challenge.

Whether you are completely new to meditation or looking to dust off an old practice and find your routine again, this 6-week course is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Mindfulness isn't about clearing your mind of all thoughts or achieving a state of perfect, undisturbed bliss. It is about developing a different relationship with our lives which is rooted in clarity, presence, and genuine self-care. Over six weeks, we will gather as a community to learn practical tools that help us navigate stressful moments with a bit more room to breathe.

What We Will Explore

Each week builds on the last, giving you a comprehensive toolkit to bring into your daily life:

  • Week 1: Foundations of Presence – Learning to work with the breath as a natural anchor for a busy mind.
  • Week 2: Mindfulness of the Body – Tuning into physical sensations to ground ourselves and release stored tension.
  • Week 3: Being Fully Human: Mindfulness of Emotions – Cultivating space for difficult or overwhelming feelings with patience and clarity using RAIN method.
  • Week 4: Working with Thoughts and Beliefs – Understanding the nature of thoughts without getting swept away by them.
  • Week 5: The Wise Heart: Metta (Lovingkindness) – Cultivating universal goodwill and strengthening our capacity for compassion toward ourselves and others.
  • Week 6: Bringing Your Practice into the World – How to take these practices off the cushion and live from this place of presence in our daily lives.

What to Expect Each Week

Each session will last 75-90 minutes and is designed to be interactive, supportive, and highly practical. Our time together will include:

  • A live, guided meditation focusing on the week's theme.
  • Short, accessible teachings on mindfulness psychology and philosophy.
  • Group reflection and time for Q&A to discuss your personal practice and challenges.
  • Simple, actionable home practices to help you build a sustainable routine between sessions.
