About this Event

Mindfulness Event

Life can be chaotic. Every day we are bombarded with information, events, words, thoughts, emotions, feelings, responsibilities - an intricate dance of external stimuli and internal reactions. Deep within us there is a resource of unwavering stillness and presence, regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in. From this stillness, we can arise in each moment, meeting it with wisdom, responding to its quirks, rather than reacting. In this response there lies our freedom to grow in life.

In this meditation workshop, cognitive science graduate and meditation teacher Vlad Grigoraș will walk you through a presentation on the science behind the benefits of mindfulness practices. Following the presentation he will guide you through a meditation practice suitable for all levels, designed to be accessible to beginners, and refreshing to avid practitioners. The goal of the workshop is to give you a taste of the benefits that a regular mindfulness practice could bring to your life, as well as point you to the plethora of resources available to deepen your practice, including plenty of free ones.
