Mindful Mosaic: Sober Movement and Craft Night!

Unwind and reconnect with yourself after the whirlwind of Pride celebrations and constant connection to social media.

This event will be broken down into two portions: movement, and craft time, with breaks in between for socialization, and book browsing. We’ll be encouraging everything to minimize distractions during this event and engage with yourself and others so we’ll offer a place to store your phone during the session the event. Join us to look good, feel good, and open yourself to new experiences!
**Movement portion**

Engage in some beginner-friendly gentle movement as we guide you through exercises of various lengths, focusing on releasing tension in your chest, waist, neck, and limbs. No experience necessary!
Dress in a way that makes you feel both cute and comfortable. Set your intentions and reflect on what brought you here. This class is an opportunity to practice finding calm amidst chaos, a skill you can apply to daily life.
**Craft portion**
Join us for a creative session where we'll breathe new life into old materials! We’ll be working on jewelry transformation using old bracelets, or fabrics, into earrings, or other accessories.
We encourage you to bring:
- Old jewelry you're ready to reimagine
- Denim or other interesting fabric scraps
- Your creativity and enthusiasm!
We'll provide basic supplies like a thread (black and dark blue), some additional jewelry pieces and materials, pliers, and other necessary tools
**Event Breakdown**

8pm: Welcome circle- names/pronouns/what they are doing there

8:30: Coming to your senses work with movement and wellness to figure out what track we are going to go on. 30-45

9:15: Drink & socializing break

9:30: Crafting

10:00: 30 minutes social time

About Roux:
Roux is a dance educator, performing artist, model, wellness enthusiast, and Enjoyment Ambassador (to name a few trades) based in Brooklyn who loves nature and commUnity! You can catch her whining up, balancing a cup of water or herself on her head when she’s on “outside mode” and curled up with a book, or anime, or practicing Shibari ties when on “inside mode”! Roux believes that through building connections over attachments, commUnity over friend aesthetics, and wellness practices over survival tactics, we can support our own and one another’s nourishment!
