This is the second in a monthly series of workshops exploring a different part of the body or movement pattern in depth.February: Supported Knees
This workshop is not about diagnosing or fixing knee issues — it’s about learning how to build a global support system around your knees, so they feel more stable, mobile, and supported in everyday life.
Rather than isolating the knees, we’ll explore how they are part of a whole system, influenced by the feet, ankles, calves, adductors (inner thighs), hips, and glutes — and how these areas work together to create ease, confidence, and resilience in movement.
The focus is on awareness, gentle mobility, and functional strength, helping you reconnect with your knees in a way that feels safe, supportive, and embodied.
We’ll explore:
- Gentle knee range of motion and patella awareness
- Softening and releasing tension around the knees, quads, and inner thighs
- Ankle and calf mobility and how this affects knee movement
- Adductor (inner thigh) activation for medial knee support
- Hip and glute activation for stability and load sharing
- Simple, slow strength exercises to support movements like squatting, stepping, and standing
- How to adapt everything to suit your own body, history, and limitations
This is a slow, mindful, and accessible workshop, suitable for all levels, including people who consider themselves to have “bad knees”. There is no forcing, no pushing through pain, and no performance goals, just learning how to move with more support and awareness.
You’ll leave with a take-home worksheet so you can continue practising and integrating what you learn.
Investment: $30
Maximum 6 people — book early to secure your spot.
