Mind the gap: neuroinclusion works for everyone
About this Event
Neuroinclusion is not about giving special treatment or creating extra rules—it is about smart business practices that make the workplace better for everyone — unrelated to how they think, communicate, behave or process information.
Join us at the delaware Ghent office to discover how small, practical changes can unlock the full potential of your entire workforce.

A cancellation fee of 50 EUR (excl. vat) will be charged, if you didn't unsubscribe at least 48 hours before the start of the event. This way, we want to provide the opportunity for everyone to attend the event, and limit the waiting list.

The Story Behind "Mind the Gap" 🚇
If you have ever been to London, you might have heard the announcement: "Mind the Gap" in the metro station. It warns passengers to watch their step between the platform and the train.
This warning is universal: it’s there for everyone. It doesn't matter why a passenger might stumble—whether they are distracted, carrying heavy luggage, or have trouble walking. The warning isn't a special exception or favor for a few people (minority); it is simply inclusive communication that makes public transport safer and more effective for every single passenger.
Gaps at work
Our company structures, offices, and workflows have hidden "gaps" too. Most organisations were built with only one specific thinking, communicating and processing style in mind: the neuronormative one. However, this is not the reality.
At work, all teams are neurodivers. Neurodiversity is simple a fact. What we means is that everyone thinks in different ways, communicates differently, processes information diferently, … and this enables our organisations to innovate. And around 20 % of our workforce —including those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or high sensitivity — specifically deviate from these standards, and cannot thrive within these organisations, also called neurodivergent employees.
For neurodivergents employees these hidden gaps make daily work much harder than it needs to be. When we adjust our workplaces so that these employees can thrive too, a amazing thing happens: the workplace becomes better for everyone.
- Clearer, structured communication rules don't just help team members who process information differently; they eliminate misunderstandings and save time for the whole department.
- Quieter, flexible workspaces don't just help individuals with focusing challenges; they boost productivity for everyone.
When you close these structural gaps, you build a resilient, high-performing workplace where everyone can reach their full potential.

Mind the workplace, not just the person: practical steps toward neuroinclusion
Host: Bjièn
Info: 1 in 5 employees is neurodivergent—from autism and ADHD to high sensitivity and introversion. Yet, most organizations focus solely on "fixing" the individual, leading to masking, friction, and burnout.
As we share in our book 'Waarom normaal niet werkt', real inclusion isn't about just individual accommodations and diagnoses. It’s about adapting your workplace environment, leadership, HR policies, and team dynamics in a way that hidden barriers disappear, the 20% can thrive, and work becomes smoother for 100% of your team.
Through hands-on, real-world examples, we’ll show you low-cost changes you can implement tomorrow.
