About this Event
Mind Circles Talks: Be Free in your ADHD – Hacking Executive Function Deficits and Rejection Sensitivity with Vanessa Maugey
Join us this month for a Mind Circles Talk in collaboration with The Applied Neuroscience Association and the King’s College London Women Entrepreneurs Network. This session explores how ADHD shows up in the brain and daily life — and how you can work with it rather than against it.
Vanessa, neuroscientist, psychologist, consultant and speaker on ADHD and neuroscience, will guide us through the science behind ADHD:
- How dopamine shapes focus, energy, and motivation.
- The Executive Function Suite and what happens when planning, memory, and self-control are disrupted.
- Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria, its impact on relationships and self-esteem, and why it’s often misunderstood.
Beyond the science, Vanessa will share practical strategies to “hack” these challenges and create more freedom in how you live with ADHD.
This event will also feature a roundtable with leaders from The Applied Neuroscience Association, discussing ADHD, brain health, and the skills needed for the future of work.
You’ll leave with:
- A grounded understanding of the neuroscience of ADHD.
- Insights into why certain challenges feel harder — and what to do about them.
- Practical tools to manage executive function deficits and rejection sensitivity.
- A broader view of how brain health connects to performance and wellbeing at work.
