The yearly performances have been offered as a thank-you to the greater Ripon community for its ongoing support of the College’s musical programming. Caestecker, as part of the Caestecker Fine Arts Series Endowment, and the first family of Ripon College, President Victoria N. Folse and Dick Folse.
The Caestecker Fine Arts Series Endowment was established to build and improve a reputation for excellence in the fine arts by organizing events accessible to both the campus community and the general public. Upon their arrival in 2022, President Folse and her husband took on the role of co-sponsors for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra performance.
“Dick and I are thrilled to welcome the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra back to Ripon College for their 51st annual performance,” President Folse said. “We are honored to support the fine arts at Ripon College and provide opportunities for the entire region to experience this remarkable professional orchestra.”
The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is Wisconsin’s largest performing arts institution and is among the finest orchestras in the nation.Since its inception in 1959, the orchestra has found innovative ways to give music a home in the region and develop music appreciation and talent among area youth. The full-time professional musicians perform more than 135 classics, pops, family, educational and community concerts each season in venues throughout the state.
