We are celebrating the life and friendship of Milwaukee Mike Johnston!
Doors open (by that we mean gates, so watch the weather) at 2:00 PM CDT, with a time of remembrance from friends and family beginning at 4:00 PM. Beers, snacks, togetherness...just the way Mikey would've wanted it.
There will also be bagpipes, so wear your Highland best, and ride your chopper. Honor Mikey's love of Scottish heritage and love of choppers as we share our time together in remembrance of one of the best friends any of us ever had.
After the service, around 6:00 PM, we'll be moving the party (because Mikey would totally want a party) down the road to Bad Moon Saloon, at 4035 South Clement Avenue (most of you have been there for Mama Tried after-parties), where there will be a food truck, beer and a private terrace for everyone to continue to be together and celebrate the life of Mikey and the friendships he created and always maintained -- to an unbelievable degree.
Chris at Bad Moon Saloon has graciously offered the terrace at no charge in remembrance of Mikey, and he will have the food truck there from 6-10, so eat before you come to the memorial, and please plan to eat again and support Chris!
Remember -- none of this can happen without all of us who loved Mikey, and supporting those he loved is a way of passing his lifetime of kindness and caring on into the future.
Let us know if you're coming! Milwaukee will never be the same without our Milwaukee Talkie, but we can make sure it has enough food and beer!
