What does it take to move from a local creative community into the national art world—and what can Milwaukee artists learn from those who have done it?

Join acclaimed artists and for an open and illuminating conversation about the paths behind their nationally recognized creative careers.

Facilitated by Mutopè J. Johnson (Director of Creative Engagement and Partnerships at Bronzeville Center for the Arts), the discussion will explore:

• The Milwaukee experiences that shaped each artist
• The opportunities and relationships that helped advance their work
• The challenges involved in entering larger art markets and institutions
• The decisions, risks, and turning points behind their careers
• The lessons they would share with emerging and established artists today

Before the discussion, guests are invited to enjoy a reception featuring projected highlights from both artists’ bodies of work.
