After months of planning and hard work by many Milton community members, we are excited to reveal the Milton Community Quilt in honor of the 250th birthday of America! Kick of Milton's 4th of July weekend festivities at the Milton House with this beautiful tribute to the USA, Wisconsin, and Milton!Inspired by a Bicentennial quilt created by the Milton community in 1976, we wanted to create another to celebrate the 250th birthday of America. Community members have contributed quilt blocks, and Loose Threads in Milton will piece the quilt together for us. Come be the first to see this piece of history we all created together, which will be seen for generations to come, as a permanent item in the Milton House collections. Both the bicentennial and the Semisesquicentennial quilt will be on display in the Milton House lobby for the rest of 2026.
