We have a very especial edition of Milonga Recuerdo! We are honored to host a special class by World Champions Carla Rossi and José Luis Salvo, who will return to the Centro Cultural de La Raza this Monday, October 26th! We also will welcome local and visitor dancers still in town for the GATO Tango Marathon with the music of DJ Greg, who will gift us with the best Argentine tango music to keep us dancing through the night! As always, we will have special treats, wine, a great dance floor, and the company of good friends!
The special class by Carla and José Luis will cover the topic of "Turns Playing with Dynamics" and will start at 7:30 pm. The floor opens for dancing at 8:40 pm, with the milonga ending around midnight.

"José Luis Salvo started his professional career in 2008. José Luis was a finalist at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in Stage category in 2011 and a finalist in both Tango de Pista and Stage Tango at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in 2012. He toured Japan, and Europe (Polland, Spain and France) as a visiting teacher and dancer between 2010 and 2015.
Carla Rossi was a finalist at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in 2012 and she won the 1st Place in the Milonga category and 4th place in Tango de Pista, at the Metropolitan Tango Championship in Buenos Aires both in 2014. She toured through Bulgaria, Germany, Sweden and Turkey as a visiting teacher in 2014 and 2015.
As a professional couple, José Luis and Carla have been dancing together since 2016. They have taught and performed at the most important venues and milongas in Buenos Aires. They toured Europe and Asia as teachers and performers several times between 2017 and 2022.
2018: Tango de Pista World Tango Champions at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup (and they were also Stage Tango finalists in the same edition)."
Milonga Recuerdo is traditionally held on the first and third Mondays of the month, honoring and remembering the germinal song by Osvaldo Pugliese, with arrangements by Julio de Caro, that opened up a line of exploration in tango.
