The first tango music was alternative. When tango’s creators ingeniously combined the footwork of African candombe and the embrace of European waltz and polka, they danced their new dance to the popular music of the day before tango music itself evolved.
At Milonga Espiral, reclaim the spirit of the pioneers and dance to a transporting mix of alternative and traditional tango music with the excitement inspired by both the classics and the new.
For our inaugural event, guest dj DimOn will bring his eclectic and balanced musical taste, seasoned by years of experience as dj for Princeton’s Viva Milonga, to elevate our dancing pleasure.
