The sixth edition of the Millennium City Sewa Mission transcends traditional celebration, transforming the sacred occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami into a night-long civilizational movement of compassion and action.

Lord Krishna—the ultimate protector of Gau Mata and champion of the marginalized—taught us that true devotion (Bhakti) is manifested through righteous duty (Karma) and service (Sewa). From the sunset of 4 September to the sunrise of 5 September,

The Dashrath Putra Foundation (DPF) – Radhey Sewa – The Street Defenders invites citizens, youth leaders, and devotees to bring the festival out of their homes and onto the streets.

Spend this divine night celebrating the birth of the Lord with those who embody His spirit: the voiceless, the vulnerable, and the pure of heart.

⚔️ The Pillars of Our Janmashtami Maha-Sewa

🐄 1. Gau & Animal Sewa – The Way of the Gopala

Janmashtami is incomplete without honoring the beings most beloved to Shri Krishna.

Gau Mata Maha-Bhog: A massive midnight feeding and care drive for cows across the streets and local shelters, honoring the eternal bond between the divine and nature.
Street Dog Feast & Care: Night-long distribution of fresh, nutritious meals and emergency medical aid to our street defenders, ensuring no animal goes hungry on this auspicious night.

🤝 2. Human Sewa – Serving the Divine in All

To serve humanity is to serve the divine directly.

Joy for Underprivileged Children: Distributing festive meals, sweet treats, and essential resources to street-connected and underprivileged children, bringing the joy of the festival to their doorsteps.
Empowering the Visually Impaired: Dedicated time spent with visually impaired individuals, providing special support packages, sharing festive meals, and experiencing the divine light of Janmashtami through devotional music and connection.

🕉️ 3. Sanatan Sewa – The Night-Long Sewa Jagran

Actionable Devotion: Instead of a traditional stationary Jagran, volunteers will engage in a continuous, moving night of service across Gurugram, chanting the name of the Lord while actively healing the community until dawn breaks.

🤲 Two Ways to Participate: Tan & Dhan

Every citizen can earn the blessings of this holy mission. Choose your mode of action:

Option A: Become a Ground Warrior (Physical Sewa): Step out into the night and lead from the front. Experience the profound fulfillment of celebrating Janmashtami on the asphalt. (Route maps and assignments shared post-booking).
Option B: Become a Sewa Backer (Financial Contribution): If you cannot join the all-night drive physically, participate fully with your Dhan. Contribute as per your Shraddha. Every rupee funds the Maha-Bhog, medical supplies, and support kits for the children and the visually impaired.
