Join us for a bioblitz along the Mill River in New Haven! While anyone can independently log species anywhere along the river from 10 AM to 10 PM, we will also host a special event at 6 PM.

This event will focus on the section of the Mill River Trail designated as an Urban Oasis by the Fish and Wildlife program, near Grand Avenue. This area has been a site of dedicated volunteer workdays and plantings for several years. Together with our Urban Resources Initiative intern, we will identify as many species as possible, with a particular emphasis on the diverse plant life along this trail section. All findings will be logged into a project on iNaturalist. Come and contribute to this exciting citizen science event, exploring and documenting the rich biodiversity of our Urban Oasis!
