Milka Ternina International Singing Competition – First Edition ✨
The Academy of Music of the University of Zagreb proudly announce the inaugural Milka Ternina International Singing Competition, honoring one of Croatia’s greatest opera artists.
This unique competition offers young singers the opportunity to perform with artistry and technical excellence before a distinguished international Jury Panel.
📆Dates: 15–19 June 2026
📍Location: Zagreb Academy of Music
Final Stage: Contestants will perform with the Croatian National Theatre Orchestra
Categories & Eligibility:
• OPERA: female contestants up to 30, male contestants up to 32
• YOUNG SINGERS: up to 24 years old
• Open to singers of all nationalities
Participants will be selected via preselection recordings. Winners will receive cash prizes, professional engagements, performances and audition opportunities in collaboration with leading cultural institutions and festivals.
