About this Event

Military City USA Wrestling Showcase Featuring the Texas Showcase Dual

*** An active USA Wrestling Membership is required for all participants ***

Event Summary

The Military City USA Wrestling Showcase is a premier preseason wrestling development camp designed to prepare high school wrestlers for the upcoming wrestling season.

This unique event combines wrestling-specific conditioning, technical instruction, situational wrestling, live competition, leadership development, and team-based challenges within an engaging, competitive environment.

The week culminates with the Texas Showcase Dual, a featured competition event where every participant receives a showcase match while competing for team and individual honors.

Unlike a traditional wrestling camp, athletes will spend the week earning points for their team through training, competition, leadership activities, sportsmanship, and daily challenges. The points accumulated throughout the week will contribute to the final Texas Showcase Dual Team Championship.

The Texas Showcase Dual is designed to provide a true finals atmosphere featuring athlete introductions, walkout music, team scoring, and a championship dual-meet environment where every match matters.

This event is intended to promote excellence in wrestling, leadership, accountability, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship while creating a memorable preseason experience for South Texas wrestlers.

The Texas Showcase Dual Experience

The Texas Showcase Dual is more than just another wrestling event.

Unlike traditional tournaments, where athletes compete only for themselves, dual meets create an atmosphere in which every point matters and every match contributes to the team's success.

Throughout the week, wrestlers will compete for team points in conditioning challenges, technique competitions, leadership activities, live wrestling, and sportsmanship contests. Those points will carry into the Texas Showcase Dual Championship.

On Friday night, wrestlers will compete in a true showcase environment featuring:

• Individual Athlete Introductions

• Walkout Music

• Spotlight Match Presentations

• Team Scoring

• Championship Implications

• Family, Coaches, and Fans in Attendance

• A True Finals Atmosphere

Each wrestler will receive one featured match against a similarly matched opponent based on:

• Weight Class

• Experience Level

• Skill Level

• Camp Performance

For many athletes, dual meets represent the most exciting format in wrestling. Every point matters, teammates rally behind one another, momentum can shift instantly, and athletes learn to compete for something bigger than themselves.

There will be no additional charges for spectators! Please come support your athletes!
