I wanted to let you know about an event I will be hosting soon. On April 11th, my annual Military Academy Day will be held at Brandon High School. This program provides young Mississippians an opportunity to learn about the nomination and appointment process from the perspective of cadets, midshipmen, admissions officers, liaison officers, and alumni.
Military service academies are looking for outstanding leaders and well-rounded young men and women in perspective candidates. This Military Academy Day will provide an opportunity to learn about the nomination and appointment process, as well as the unique opportunities each of the academies offer, from the perspective of cadets, midshipmen, admissions officers, liaison officers, and alumni.
For those of you interested in military service academies, please remember that Congressmen and Senators are looking for individuals who excel in these fields: academics, community service, athletics, and physical aptitude. We nominate young men and women to military service academies based on these fields and the academies evaluate and select for appointment.
I hope to see you at Military Academy Day on April 11th, 2026, at Brandon High School. It is my honor to host, and I am looking forward to seeing my fellow Mississippians on this important day.
