This July, Milford Open Mic expands into something a little special.
Join us for Gallery Night, featuring the photography of local artist John Maggi of Figura Foto Art. Alongside the music, poetry, storytelling, and magic that make our open mic nights so vibrant. We’ll also showcase a curated selection of John's photographs displayed throughout the evening.
Guests will be able to view and purchase a limited selection of his work while enjoying a night of live performance and great food.
John is also one of our longtime Milford Open Mic musicians. Since the early days of the event, he has been a regular presence on the stage. Whether he is performing an original song or delivering a thoughtful cover, he always brings something special to the room. Off stage, he is just as warm and supportive as he is when performing, making him a true part of the Milford Open Mic community.
This event also celebrates the generous support John has been providing to our community. Over the months leading up to July, he has planned to donate matted photographs that will be raffled off during our open mic nights beginning in March. Gallery Night brings his work front and center for everyone to enjoy.
Whether you're performing, supporting local artists, or simply coming out for a great night at Stonebridge, this will be a memorable evening where music and visual art meet.

Come early and enjoy Stonebridge’s welcoming atmosphere with dinner and drinks before the performances begin. Stonebridge is known locally for its New England inspired seafood and classic American fare, making it a perfect pairing for a night of live music and art.
Two standout menu favorites that guests often enjoy include:
Shrimp and Grits
Sautéed bacon, onion, and shrimp served over rich cheesy cheddar grits. A hearty and flavorful dish that pairs beautifully with an evening out.
Blackened Swordfish
Cajun spiced swordfish with gorgonzola woodland mushrooms, spinach, and roasted red peppers in a Cajun gorgonzola sauce over whipped potatoes. A bold, chef driven entrée that has become a favorite among diners.
About our Featured Photographer...
John Maggi of Figura Foto Art, is a Connecticut based photographer with a passion for capturing architecture, landscape, and nature. His work often highlights details that might escape the casual observer, exploring the colors, shapes, textures, and patterns hidden within everyday scenes.
John is drawn to extraordinary images camouflaged within ordinary surroundings. His compositions frequently emphasize color, shadow, attitude, and structure, creating striking visual moments from urban, rural, and abstract subjects.
His photographs have been captured locally throughout Connecticut as well as during travels across the United States and internationally in England, Italy, France, and Taiwan.
A Connecticut resident, John lives in Shelton and grew up in Bridgeport, a city that often appears as a subject in his work. He enjoys discovering images during photo explorations around the state and wherever his travels take him.

We have four in person performance slots available.
If you do not have an early online slot, arrive and place your name in the hat.
Arrive by 5:45 PM to enter the drawing
Names drawn at 5:55 PM
Four additional performance spots will be filled throughout the night
Each performer receives two songs or up to ten minutes, keeping the evening lively and engaging.
What to Expect
Milford Open Mic is known for its welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Expect a fast moving lineup of local talent featuring music, poetry, storytelling, comedy, and creative expression.
On Gallery Night, the addition of visual art creates an even richer experience as guests enjoy both live performance and photography throughout the space.
