MILES & MEANING is an open and honest panel discussion exploring the social side of running: the friendships, connections, confidence, community, and unexpected moments that can come from simply showing up and running together.
Led by Christine Tyndall, founder of Early Birds, the panel will bring together a selection of special guests to share their own social running journeys. We’ll hear personal stories about how they got started, the communities they’ve found, the people they’ve met along the way, and the ways running has impacted their lives beyond the run itself.
What to expect
We'll explore questions around:
- How and why people get into social running
- Finding a sense of community and belonging
- Overcoming the intimidation of getting started
- How running can impact confidence, routine and everyday life
- The role of community in helping us show up for ourselves and others
- The highs, lows and realities of finding your people through running
And this isn't just a panel to sit and listen to.
The conversation is open to you. Our audience is open to ask questions, share experiences and join the discussion, creating a genuine and meaningful conversation around what community can really mean.

Whether you're already part of a running club, run regularly on your own, have never considered yourself a runner, or are simply curious about social running and the communities surrounding it, everyone's welcome.
Just come with an open mind and, hopefully, a few questions.
