It's Mt. Vernon's policy to ensure every student receives a lunch, regardless of ability to pay. When family hardship leads to unpaid balances, the district covers the gap—and those balances add up. Miles for Meals Turkey Trot 5k helps reduce that burden through the MVEF Angel Fund.---------------------------------------------------------------
Kick off the holidays with a family-friendly 5K where every step helps ensure all Mt. Vernon students have a hot, nutritious lunch!
Proceeds benefit the MVEF Angel Fund, which helps pay down student meal debt so no child goes hungry at school.
