South Shore Conservatory celebrates 100 years of jazz and the artists who shaped America’s most original art form. In honor of the 100th birthday of Miles Davis, this concert at our Carr Amphitheater traces the great lineage of jazz through the big band tradition, featuring music by Miles Davis, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and other masters who defined the sound of a century. Showcasing the Foxboro High School Jazz Band, an elite, award-winning ensemble led by renowned educator and director Aaron Bush, with guest artist Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Bijon Watson.
