After much thought, our family decided to wait a few months before holding my dad's Celebration of Life.
During his battle with cancer, one of the things my dad talked about often was wanting to make it to his 70th birthday. Although he wasn't able to, we felt there would be something especially meaningful about gathering to celebrate his life on the weekend of what would have been that milestone birthday.
The celebration will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly. If you knew my dad, you knew how much he loved fishing, kayaking, being on the water, and just about anything outdoors. To honor him, we'd love for everyone to wear tropical or fish-themed attire.
If you have any photos of my dad that you'd be willing to share, please send them to me. We'd love to include as many memories as possible during the celebration.
