We are thrilled to welcome Mike Urick & The Modelaires to their Lamplighter Lounge debut! A rollicking horn-based band that blends elements of vintage rock and hot jazz for an electric party experience with pure Mardi Gras vibes!
The original Modelaires band formed in the 1940s by Jeannette based musicians including Mike Urick’s grandfather. For over 70 years the band performed all types of music including Italian favorites, rock, jazz, swing, country, and even the occasional polka.
After his grandfather’s passing, Urick inherited his trumpets – which he performs with onstage – and in 2022 decided to reform the Modelaires. In the same spirit of the original group, The Modelaires play any type of song that they and the audience will enjoy especially vintage rock, retro jazz/swing, pure Americana, and Mardi Gras-inspired party tunes.
