4th annual Mike Shane Memorial Fund Golf Outing at Dayton Country Club
The Mike Shane Memorial Fund was established in honor of Mike Shane, who was a beloved member of our community and a passionate golfer. The fund aims to provide support and resources to families affected by cholangiocarcinoma - the rare cancer that took Mike’s life, by facilitating online second opinions from the leading specialists at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Penn Medicine, University of California at San Francisco, Cedars-Sinai, and the Cleveland Clinic. The grants provided by your generosity leave a lasting impact on recipients and their families. Since its inception, the fund has raised more than $507,000, providing over 115 second opinions. Our services give families hope and expertise for those in need.
The golf outing is our biggest annual fundraising event, and this year's event will be our biggest yet. The event will begin with dinner on Sunday Evening at El Meson in Dayton. The dinner will be a buffet style with more details to come. Golf will begin on Monday the 8th with a 9 am shotgun start. Monday will include a breakfast, golf, a delicious lunch, and an awards ceremony. We will also be holding a silent auction through our event page with some great items up for bidding! There are opportunities for named sponsorships, individual hole sponsors, goody bag sponsors and more. You can even be creative with your sponsorship.
