The Trio’s highly anticipated debut release “Sometimes, not always” marks a pivot for Munson. The group’s sound joyfully traverses the melancholic corners of American music much like Edward Hopper did with a paintbrush on canvas. Munson is joined by Nick Salisbury on bass and Lars-Erik Larson on drums, pairing stunning guitar sounds with sparse arrangements for a quieter, more introspective feel.
