Migrating to Ultra: Move Your Content Workshop

This workshop is suitable for any Blackboard users who convene, teach on, or manage Blackboard modules or courses and takes participants through the process of moving content from a Blackboard Original course to a Blackboard Ultra course.

The workshop will focus on migration best practice, looking at what happens to content when it is migrated to Ultra and help participants to recognise which content will need reframing or rebuilding. There will also be dedicated time (with guidance) for participants to plan and begin their own module migration.

A basic understanding of Blackboard Ultra and its key features will be useful for this workshop, but is not required.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Perform a copy of one or more content items from an Original to an Ultra module
• Identify areas in your Original module which will transfer more easily to Ultra
• Recognise areas in your Original module which may need reframing or reworking
• Develop a plan for your own module migration from Original to Ultra
