Join us for the Mercer Island Farmers Market Harvest Festival on November 24! It's the last market of 2024, featuring many of your favorite summer vendors, local artisans, and produce stands with fresh squash, pumpkins, and more. Enjoy hot chocolate, kids' activities, and live music while savoring the delicious bites from food vendors and trucks. It’s the perfect festive, family-friendly event to celebrate the season and stock up on fall essentials.
And introducing The Great Gourd Showdown!
What is it?
A fun-filled, family-friendly contest to see who can create the best gourd decoration!
How does it work?
Come to the Harvest Market, choose your gourd, and get decorating!
We provide: a gourd, craft materials, paints, markers, carving utensils, glue, etc.
Or… you can bring your own pre-decorated gourd to submit!
Will there be a winner?
Yes—a child winner and an adult winner! All decorated gourds must be submitted by 12pm. Winners will receive a beautiful, bountiful market basket filled with vendor goods!
When is it?
Sunday, November 24th @ the Harvest Market
9:45am: SIGN IN begins (no registration needed)
12pm: DECORATING ends
12:30pm: VOTING ends
1:00pm: WINNERS announced (do not need to be present to win)
What does it cost?
$0! (donations accepted to help cover costs)
Any other rules?
-One submission per person
-Parents *are* allowed to help their kids
-You don’t *have* to use materials we provide, you’re welcome to bring your own
-Store-bought/pre-decorated gourds won’t qualify. Make sure to decorate it yourself!
