Miesha and the Spanks

Calgary duo Miesha & The Spanks bring their riff-driven blend of garage rock, punk, and hard rock to The Blue Grotto this November.

Fronted by mixed-Secwépemc singer, guitarist, and songwriter Miesha Louie, alongside drummer Sean Hamilton, the two-piece has spent more than a decade building a sound inspired by proto-punk, garage rock, and '90s grunge. Big guitar hooks, driving rhythms, and direct songwriting have become the band's calling card, earning them the 2024 Western Canadian Music Award for Breakout Artist of the Year and a growing audience across Canada and beyond.

With the release of their latest EP, Visions, Miesha & The Spanks continue to push their sound forward while keeping one foot firmly planted in loud, no-nonsense rock and roll. Their live show is lean, powerful, and built around the chemistry of two musicians who know exactly how to make a duo sound much bigger than it is.
