Midwest Travel Network 2024 Writer's Workshop - Sheboygan, WI (Oct 8-11)

We are excited to present the next Midwest Travel Network Writer's Workshop. This time we're headed to Sheboygan, WI for another unique experience for our attendees. This Fall adventure will be happening October 8-11, 2024.

The AMAZING Theresa L. Goodrich will be our workshop leader!

Theresa L. Goodrich is an Emmy-winning author and content creator with a penchant for storytelling and a keen eye. She’s the founder and publisher of The Local Tourist and Your Chicago Guide. She’s also the author of multiple books, including the Two Lane Gems series, Living Landmarks of Chicago, and COMPLETE Road Trip Guide (for grown-ups). In 2022, her first novel featuring travel writer Alex Paige debuted, and her second will be released in November.

Theresa has spoken at the Chicago, Denver, and San Diego Travel and Adventure Shows and will also appear in Los Angeles in 2023. Other speaking engagements have included many Chicago-area libraries as well as the Chicago Auto Show. She’s appeared in several Chicago media outlets, including Crain’s Chicago, the Chicago Tribune, Chicagoist, WGN, WLUP, and WCIU. She was one of the founding bloggers of ChicagoNow, was the Chicago Expert for Answers.com, and is syndicated on Microsoft Start. She’s also spoken on marketing, motivation, and entrepreneurship at several panels and conferences, and was a mentor at the exclusive 2019 Bloghouse conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Theresa has led our Midwest Travel Network Writer's Workshops in Hendricks County, IN; Gulf Shores, AL; Dubuque, IA; and SE Montana/Billings . When she’s not writing or on the road, she’s cooking and planning her next adventure.

“The Midwest Travel Network Writer’s Workshop guides you from the initial travel experience (press trip style) through to writing and editing the article. The focus of this workshop is writing for your readers. I learned how to create tension in my articles to move the reader through the experience. It’s a small group, and you’ll not only learn from an award-winning author but also other writers in the workshop.”

Cost: $299. Includes meals, lodging and educational experiences. (Limited to 11 attendees). All participants will have the opportunity to explore the area including food and attractions in the Sheboygan area AND have 15 hours to work alongside author Theresa Goodrich.
