Midweek Musical Matinee: "Le Jazz Hot Swing"

Kick-off our 2025-26 concert season with the much-anticipated return of Le Hot Club Swing; a dynamic quartet of two acoustic guitars, string bass & clarinet/saxophone.

This Sonoma County-based group specializes in the music of the famed Belgian-born Romani guitarist Django Reinhardt, who, along with other noted musicians, was credited with creating the musical style known as “Gyspy Jazz.”

Popular for its bouncy, toe-tapping accessibility and colorful evocation of a Parisian café or street corner, this stylish music was the first jazz style in which guitarists were placed in the lead role.

The band delights in interacting with the audience, sharing thoughts on how this unique music, and welcoming questions.

Sonoma county based, Le Hot Club Swing is a quartet emulating the sounds and style of Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli. Capturing the style and mood of the French/Manoche/Gypsy swing era, this dynamic group – consisting of Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Upright Bass, and assorted woodwinds – often leave audiences clamoring for more!
